Creating Ballet Performances and Connections that Last a Lifetime

Lake Erie Ballet Company  is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing a high-quality pre-professional performances and experiences for dancers from all local dance studios in the Erie region. 

We welcome young artists throughout the region to join us in creating inspiring performances for the Erie community, including Erie's Nutcracker, held annually at the Warner Theatre.

Through collaboration with Erie County schools and regional arts organizations, we strive to enrich the cultural landscape and nurture the next generation of performers. Our goal is to make ballet accessible to all, and bring ballet experiences to non-traditional spaces. 

The Lake Erie Ballet Company (LEBC), beginning in 1957 as Erie Civic Ballet, is committed to promoting the diversity of talent in Erie County by building partnerships with local dance organizations and ensuring that all dancers who audition will participate in a positive and inspirational learning environment where skilled training and mentorship are offered through exposure to professionals including:

• artistic directors, 
• rehearsal directors, 
• actors, 
• costume designers,
• lighting designers,
• backstage technicians

LEBC dancers will learn about the profession of dance through active participation in auditions and rehearsals that will culminate in performances of the annual Warner Theatre tradition of Erie's Nutcracker.
